The Pines consists of 48 Rental Apartments offered in 1 Bed, 1 Bath or 2 Bed, 1 Bath Layouts. Amenities include fully-equipped kitchens with wood cabinetry, garbage disposal, and dishwasher.
A community room is available for all residents to enjoy. Rent includes heat, water, sewer, trash pickup, snow removal and lawn care.

RIBBON CUTTING & OPEN HOUSE
On July 29, 2008 The Pines Apartments held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Open House for the public to tour the recently completed apartments. The rental apartments comprise the very first living areas at Alpena Village. The afternoon festivities allowed hundreds of supporters, residents, prospective residents and community leaders to view the apartments for the very first time. Residents will begin moving into the apartments in August.
Speakers included Dennis Krafft, CFO of Lutheran Homes of Michigan, Sharon Gire, Director, Office of Services to the Aging, Roger Myers, CEO of Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, David Gehm, CEO of Lutheran Homes of Michigan, Henry Johnson, Chairman of the Board for Presbyterian Villages of Michigan, John Briggs, Chairman of Alpena Community College Board of Trustees, and Ken Werth, President of Werth Development and contractor for The Pines Apartments.
Sharon Gire, Director of the Office of Services to the Aging, read a letter of congratulations from Governor Granholm.
