Groundbreaking has taken place for the first Condominium at Alpena Village! Construction will commence on the 7-unit Willows Condominium starting in May with residents moving in late summer of 2008. Local dignitaries joined future residents, public supporters and Alpena Village to celebrate this historical day. Speakers included Mayor Carol Shafto, Dr.Olin Joynton (President Alpena Community College), David Gehm (President, Lutheran Homes of Michigan) and Brian Carnaghi (VP Finance and Planning for Presbyterian Villages of Michigan). |

Alpena Village is an active adult community adjacent to Alpena Community College. Located in Alpena, Michigan, Alpena Village sits in a beautiful wooded setting in close proximity to downtown Alpena, various parks, museums, and medical facilities.
A diverse and enthusiastic group of people from the Alpena area of northeast Michigan came together in August of 1998 to share their mutual interest in the establishment of a retirement community. Backed by Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM) and Lutheran Homes of Michigan (LHM) plans for Alpena Village moved forward.
We proudly took our name from the community that surrounds us. You'll see that we've combined the hometown appeal of Alpena with neighborhoods of easy care homes that are environment friendly.

Located adjacent to the campus of Alpena Community College, Alpena Village encourages life-long learning plus access to supportive services to meet the needs and desires of seniors.
Dedicated staff and shared common space offer dining, activities, walking trails, year around grounds maintenance and professional management to protect the integrity of Alpena Village.
Alpena Village offers a variety of floor plans including two types of Condominiums for purchase as well as Apartments for rent.

The Cottages are condominium homes and are available with 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms. The cottages are attached duplex, triplex, or quadplex homes.
The Willows are condominium homes connected to the Hearth Lodge. The Willows offer 1 and 2 bedroom models to choose from. All models feature interior entrances with connected hallways. Residents will move into the Willows in the Fall of 2008.
The Pines are multi-income based rental apartments. You may be eligible for price considerations. Residents will move into The Pines Apartments in August 2008.
